This is actually old news so maybe it's been posted here before but I was just reminded of this library when I re-visited an old thread on the NorthernSounds forum. A poster there, Thomas_J, has been working on his own trumpet library for a while and has posted some very impressive mp3 examples. Here's one:
http://finjaco.home.online.no/jazztrumpet-verb.mp3
This was played live from a keyboard (I believe the breath and valve noises were added later). It may not fool a trumpet player but it would probably have fooled me if I hadn't known about it. Here's another one:
http://finjaco.home.online.no/wyntontrumpet.mp3
And a Mariachi-style example:
http://finjaco.home.online.no/mariachi.mp3
It's been a bit quiet from Thomas_J about this library lately, but he's posted that it will be distributed through www.postpiano.com when it's finished.

I pm'ed Thomas J about 2 weeks ago and got this reply
It does indeed sound rather good
He's not just doing trumpet but also duduk, a shakuhachi and a few other instruments.Thomas J wrote: Thanks for your interest in my samples. I'm working on them now, but can't say for sure when they'll be done. Hopefully before the end of the year.
The instruments will be sold seperately, cheap

Speaking of trumpet libraries, there's a new one from WarpIV:
www.warpiv.com/1050394.html
Listening to the demos I get the same impression I got from the Chris Hein brass lib: an impressive number of articulations but when you string them together they sound like, well, disparate samples played in succession - not a unified performance. It's also $299.
Thomas J's trumpets sound more real to me and will most likely be a lot less expensive.

They (TJs) trumpets do sound pretty awesome...
I PM'ed him just a few days ago and he said that he was swamped with other projects at the moment and that the release of these libs would be delayed.
I dunno about the WarpIV lib though. $299 seems a bit steep for one trumpet. Especially when you get say 50 instruments in Garritan's JABB for the
same(ish) price.
Or even the KAB or Chris Hein libraries will let you do a four part section. (Trumpet, Trombone and 2 saxes)
