the gui of fL studio

What do you think about the guy of FL Studio, i think it sucks big time and it has the sorsesd guy which can a host have, only sonicfoundry is wworse. At the end of the summer a friend has lent my cubase SX 1 which is developed in 2002, i´ve run it first time and i thought, poa oh my god what is this futorisitic studio, is this from the future or from aliens or another planet, the guy of cubase looks apsolute awesome and i think it´s changeable, too. The FL Studio guy looks like a old gameboy gamemenu and i every day i work with it my head hurts and i must take 2 or 3 asperins ! The guy is dark, monothonic, the knobs are small and the guy is EVEN not changeable at all. If you want change the playlist or pianoroll color to white like in cubase you can´t set the net between the notes ´cause it don´t change the colors. I´am really pissed of and think of jumping to another host, i like FL cause i can do my stuff very fast but i don´t go to the hosptal cause FL Stuio´s guy!!!

i understand what you main about the GUI from FL giving headakes (not that i use it, but some scheems can hurt the head to look at for a long time)

both the hosts i mentioned have fully configerable gui's

& thay also just happen to be shit hot for music production

not to mention all you FL tracks can be opend from within them <if you have the vst vershion of FL aswell>

Because it is easy to use and first i thought that the gui rocks, too but after working and working i get pissed off, if you want to create music you need a good workflow and a good gui cause if you just see the dark grey clors (for me it is so) you lose any inspiration to create music and get angry why you can´t do anything soundig well and need much time to create a song, i usually can do my songs fast in FL but the results often aren´t like what i´ve wanted to create. If teh gui at least would by a bit brigher i think there weren´t any problems for me but it is just to dark, i get tired and unconcentrate fast if i work in FL Studio cause of the bad gui, the gui don´t look professional ata ll comparing to cubase or logic or sonar and you can´t move anything over the browser at the left if you need more space cuase all what you move over the project browser gets hidden

You can hide the project browser and open it when you need it (thats what I do)

You can change the Playlist background (look in the Tools menu in the Playlist)

You can add "Black Keys" in the Piano Roll (once again, in its menu)

You can add viewing ghost channels for the current pattern in the Piano Roll (also in its menu)

Those are a few things that I change whenever I install FL Studio. It helps.
