Whats a VST filter effect that has a really screechy resonance good for making hardcore kicks to feature in hardstyle?

frohmage is a pretty good filter...not sure if it's what you're after, but it's free. http://www.kvraudio.com/get/572.html

A few other free ones to try:
BetaBugs Audio's Crayon Filter
Squarecircle's Square Filter
Exponent Delta Filter
But, pretty much any filter will scream like hell as long as you put a distortion effect before it. Try putting a hard clipper or fuzz effect first then turn the resonance up.

Here's an example of what Crayon Filter can sound like.
The first bit is unaffected, the second and third bits are the same part with different filter settings on Crayonfilter. Look for filters with their own drive or distortion stage, and ideally one with a 4-pole setting.

Yeah i know pretty much anything screeches with some distortion, some are just really good at it, An example of what im looking for is the resonance in kontakt's filters. An example of what i don't want is the resonance built into waldorf attack. Ill check out Crayon Filter, cheers.

Squarefilter would be my recommendation. It's lowpass only, but has 4 lp modes and a distortion parameter as well as the usual resonance and cutoff. The first two modes are really excellent with lots of distortion and resonance.

I think the Fuzz plugin that was given by Computer Music magazine quite recently may be exactly what you're looking for. Distortion and filter in one, very useful for screeching effects.
