Does a plugin like this exist ?
A panner plugin that gives you preset curves and let's you draw them yourself as well for stereo to surround configurations.
Offset, Speed, Spread from center, include/exclude outputs(to exclude the center and/or LFE for example). Perhaps even some filters to cycle in synch with the panner.
I know film people who'd pay for a plugin like this, believe you me.
Does such a plugin exist already ?

seems like that tool was available in some of the early daws. The ability to draw your own curves was especially useful.
Did cool edit have that feature? cannot remember...

Pro-Tools allows you to draw autmation so it is a non linear curve.

I was thinking Automation too.Aleatoric wrote:Pro-Tools allows you to draw autmation so it is a non linear curve.
Just do it(moving panning) and record in realtime or draw freehand in your hosting program like Sonar etc.
So any plugin that supports controlling panning with a midi CC and automation, and a host that supports automation in a good way would do what you want.
Sonar producer edition (PE) supports surround as well.

BTW, this sorta stuff is piss easy to do in EnergyXT. You can draw a curve in an envelope component or track in the sequencer, set it to the bar length you need, and assign it to anything - pan, volume, cuttoff.. etc..

You can draw pan envelopes in FL Studio also, as well as cutoff, volume, etc.
And yes, Cool Edit 2 Pro does have this feature as well, as well as a million other great things.
However, as far as a VST goes, I dunno, nice idea though.
