Is there such a thing? I'd like to be able to use some of the growing number of AUs around and route the output into Tracktion via JackOSX.

And DSP Quattro also hosts instrument au's. I think there is another one, but it's name escapes me. Do a search of the host database and you should be able to find it.

Thanks for the help- I remembered I had a CM coverdisk with a version of DSP Quattro, and limited though it is it does host AUs. It's a very good audio editor as well.

there's always Logic Express if you consider EUR 299 inexpensive(ish)...

This one is free as well. You'll have to install something to get it. I've never done it but i've read somewhere that if you install the Tiger Developer Toolset you get that one.
