So I have a habit of ignoring plugins that come with hosts, thinking they'll be crap.

So lo and behold, imagine my surprise when I get SOS and there is a feature on Cyclone. I didn't even realise we Sonarians even had a beat/loop slicer thingymajig. I've been rewiring FLS for the last 2 years and using the fruity slicer. :dog: :dog: :dog: Cyclone blows all this out the water!

So, er, check it out, its really good. As is PerfectSpace and PentagonI and Roland V-Vocal.

If only some of the more annoying bugs could be fixed.

That's all. Tail between my legs. Learnt my lesson, etc.

Yes, yes, is good to try all plugins what you got with the application - sometime you can be surprised :o :o

Although I don't use loops hardly, being able to load any combination of your exsisting Acid loops and assign them keys for triggering is/was a great idea, especially when it came out. Although Stylus is out now with more features and a slick library,it would be a pain to convert a big Acid collection to .Rex and then to .Sage,so Cyclone still can be quite useful, not to mention the simplicity. Great tool.

Another vote for Cyclone. The feature count in Sonar is so high now that many aspects of it may not be used by every user. Cyclone is a typical example. In such a vast environment for music making even a great instrument like Cyclone can get overlooked!

Its amazing how many people buy stuff without really checking it out properly first Lol
