Hi,

Breaking in and learning new monitors here. I'm looking for some CD's with high quality orchestral recording, CD's that you feel stand out from the crowd due to the quality of the recording, mixing and mastering.

Price not an issue, any recommendation?

Are all the classical music buff out for the holidays?

Recordings by Charles Dutoit and the Montreal (?) symphony have gotten good reviews for sound & musical quality. I have his Sacre du Printemps (Stravinsky) which sounds glorious indeed.

You'll get a much better, even overwhelming, response at the NorthernSounds forum:

Can you believe I'm from Montreal and I have no recording of the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal? I'm off to the store to remedy that situation immediately, thanks.

I have an account with the northern sound forum, maybe I should visit more often (I never think about it). Thanks for the reminder.
