Hello all,
a scary problem came back from out of nowhere. I had this half a year ago after several fresh reinstalls and couldn't fix it and now it happens again. I had dozens of plugins in my Logic vst folder and all of them worked for years. I didn't boot Logic for a few weeks and all of a sudden my multiout menu in the audioinstrument channel was gone. To test if it was the same problem I already encountered half a year a go (and which i couldn't fix - had to put an old image back which worked) I moved all my plugins out of the vstplugins folder, booted Logic and the menu was back with just EXS24 inside. So I put Kontakt back and Battery...they're back in the menu. I put my Sonalksis folder back -> TBK is missing. I put my freeware plugins folder back and lots of folders in it don't show up in the menu. The folder structure is like this c:\audio\logic\vstplugins\freeware\ and in there i have like five folders from smartelectronix or digitalfish for example. In logic the the folders inside the freeware folder show up now directly inside the stereo and mono menu..they are not in a folder called freeware. Also when I put several more plugins back my multiout menu disappears again and this seems to happen randomly...it's not due to a specific plugin i installed. It happens with every other plugin which were in that folder for 3 years and worked!
Does anyone know what's going on here? I had my dongle unplugged for the last couple of weeks and plugged it in...could that lead to such problems? Like I said...i had this problem after a several attempts to reinstall a fresh windows with nothing but logic on it and it behaved likewise..tried it with sp1 and sp2 and nothing helped. Could it be the dongle? I'm really desperate atm...i've been sitting here for the last three days and don't know else i can try. sad.gif
PLEASE HEEEELP!!
