Boogex does a pretty damn decent job on DI bass now - it can do the Bass Pod XT thing where you blend the DI sound with the Amp+Cab sound in phase.
I have just been testing - adding quite a lot of level on the post cab dry pot - gives a great blend of the bright clear sound of DI bass with the extra body and oomph of the cab tone.
I just did a quick test of DI + cab with my EMG Strat and I think the expanded tonal possibilities are pretty worthwhile there too. With the new signal path options and the new impulses Boogex is now very flexible indeed.
Thanks to Aleksey for this great freebie.

Singlehandedly the best update feature. Almost like mindreading, I just mentioned this to Kingston while visiting him yesterday :OAleksey Vaneev wrote: 2. An option to disable cabinet simulation stage implemented.

I'll definitely have to try this, one of my favourite guitar sounds is a mix of clean and distorted tones. My old sessionette amp had a nice mix/blend control, having some clean signal in there really gave body and definition to the sound.egbert wrote:I just did a quick test of DI + cab with my EMG Strat and I think the expanded tonal possibilities are pretty worthwhile there too.
