Just pondering this today, because it struck me that I listen to a lot of music that's sung in another language because I enjoy ebm/electro/industrial music from around the world. I am thinking in particular of Spanish- and German-speaking acts.
But a lot of artists from those same countries do also sing their lyrics in English - not always successfully I should add, simply because of the phonetic difficulties, some phrasing awkwardnesses and, I would suppose, some looseness in translations.
I must admit, I'd rather hear someone singing in their native tongue, even if it means the lyrics are less accessible.
Just wondered what people thought about this?

well when the words are in a language i cant understand it make the voice more of an instrument.
i love music form all over the globe words ive never understood but the beauty of a song still shines through.
look at sigur ros for example,sing in icelandic and wowsers its more intense to me than most english vocals.
