anyone fancy posting some mp3 of sax/reed/horn patches from the clavia g2? :)

for me, it would be a cool thing to have someone do.

cheers :) would like to hear sax if you can.

intend to get another nord as controller because of the bloody pitch stick.. wondering if the g2 is worth the extra millions since i found the korg z1 modeled saxes immensely useful.. and now hard to replace. remember not thinking the tassman/other demos were so hot.. :p

OK no time to test this shit now as I'm due to go out. No virtuoso stuff - just me playing a few notes across the instruments normal(ish) range of sounds/notes.

Patches are mostly Chet's ones posted on the site plus Rob Hordijk's Horn Model from the default bank - Chets are way better in realism but Robs is quite mellow and musical.

I haven't really got the hang of playing many of Chet's patches as really they were made to work with a Breath controller - you can use a modwheel to supply the breath but its bloody hard and I haven't mastered the coordination needed yet :)

patches are:

Baritone Brass (sort of generic brassy sound)
BC-Clarinet2
BC-Trumpet (my favourite for sound but hard to play)
Trumpet 2
BC-Sax 1 and 2
First patch from Horn Model

Hey xoxos, why not use sampled saxes? Just curious. I've never heard a synthesized sax I liked. The G2 is great, but I don't use it for 'realistic' patches.

I've never heard a sampled sax I like - my Vl70 sounds/feels better to me.

Ditto :)

i thought you were selling one....

aargh

thanks much :)

brass and clarinet sound good, but the sax is 'thin' compared to the korg.. sounds like it's missing a waveguide path or so. oc by now the korg sounds more like a sax than a sax to me..

..so my quest for a relic begins..

:/ but thanks again amused :)

I've been looking for some other patches (other that the one amused used) but all I've found so far is 2 thin sounding immitations of someone whistling at a sax
