I've been trying to source a sample CD called Interface Guitar, but it seems to have been discontinued. If anyone happens to have a copy laying around gathering dust, I'd like to buy it.

If you’re looking for guitar phrases to use with Melodyne (I seem to remember you’re a Melodyne user – if not, just disregard) you might want to take a look at Acid libraries. The acidized files are basically .wav:s and should work with Melodyne. Sony have a couple of guitar libraries for Acid:

There are also some guitar libraries for Acid from Musicleads:
www.musicleads.net/guitar_music_loops.html
Finally, there’s a developer called GuitarWavs that makes guitar phrase libraries:
www.guitarwavs.com
Haven’t tried any of these myself yet but probably will when my finances have recovered after all the group buys and special offers around Christmas.
BTW, if the user licence for Interface Guitar is the standard type, I don’t think it could legally be re-sold.

Thanks for the reply Yoss. You're a dude! I bought the classic riffs CD from Guitarwavs. I hadn't thought of Acid loops (the PC/Mac thing). Dang, I wish there was a way to get Acid happening on Mac.
If anyone knows of a source of classic rock 'n' roll rhythm guitar fiffs/loops in the ilk of 'Honky Tonk Women", I'd appreciate the tip.
Cheers,
Geoff

Doesn't Ableton Live do pretty much everything Acid does and then some?Chamelion wrote:Dang, I wish there was a way to get Acid happening on Mac.

My memory's not so hot tho - I just realized I actually own Interface Guitar.
Took a quick listen and it does have some Keith licks a la "Honky-Tonk Women".

I've got more licks than a bloodhound on heat
What I really want to get hold of is a good selection of rhythm guitar riffs to set up a rocky, Stonesy feel. I can't believe how little of that particular genre there seems to be out there. It's been real needle in a haystack territory.
Cheers,
Geoff
