Hi
Up to now, I've been using Cool Edit Pro only as an audio editor, but now I want to use it to record my vocals.

But I don't know how to do the following, which is something I've always done in FL Studio very easily.

I want to record my voice without effects BUT I want to listen to it with effects while recording (reverb, mainly, since it helps me to sing more confidently, but also noise gate, etc)

can anyone tell me how to do this in Cool Edit Pro?

You can't - effects aren't real-time, are they? They sure as hell aren't in CE2k, they have to be rendered.

there are real-time effects and off-time effects, I think...

This feature depends on ASIO, which wasn't available in the Cool Edit / Audition range until Audition 2.0

BONES CE2k is not the same in any way, you do not seem to understand that...in multitrack view they are real time fx...CE2K and CEpro are no where near the same product at all...
