A buddy of mine was just telling me the newest version of ST2 is not importing akai lib's right? Any news on that?

I have the 2.1.1 version of ST and it does import Akai libraries, though not without glitches in some cases. If the left and right channels of the sounds you want to import have different loop lengths like the ones in USB Sounds Acoustic & Synth Choirs, you get varying degrees of clicking at the loop points.
There is one thing I almost forgot to mention - checking the box to import the entire CDROM doesn't do anything. You have to check the boxes for each Akai Partition for import to work.
I've already taken this up with IK Support.
