Hey,
I'm a huge fan of the effects plug "Backman"
apparently when they released that 1.3 version I've found its giving me a lot of clicks, even though the update was supposed to take em out. Anyone know if theyll ever fix that?
Thanks
RonC

I'll see what can I do.
I know it clicks sometimes when beeing on backwards stage and there is some low freqs present, but I was too lazy to fix it.

Ok I just changed some stuff inside backman, I tried over a low freq sine wave checking for clicks and I finally managed to kill them.
There is a little little "gap" or "bump" since this plugin is a "flip flop" record / play and over a low freq sine wave entering on the input is really impossible to make the waveform to play in sync when switching the flip flop internally. (bla bla technical stuff) this shouldn't be noticeable on most sound material and the most important thing is that I killed the nasty clicks. (clicks that annoyed me too)
Now, this new Backman version has one little modification, the absolute sync between forward and backward has been changed (tested with clicks, scope and very slooow tempo)and now the little slider on top reflects that so it is probably that you'll need to re adjust that slider on those songs containing backman. (not big deal but you'll probably need to)
Here is a BETA version, check it out and please tell me if it working fine there on your machine (I need the feedback), then I'll see if I work more on it or post an upgrade on my website.
BACKMAN 1.3.1beta
Cheers.

It's a shame, 102 visits to this thread and nobody wanted other thing than get the *.dll file without giving any feedback (this was a beta and I stated I needed the testing feedback), so I finally killed the *.dll file.
shame on you guys.

As I posted at looptalk earliers I really love your plug. I also heard this crackling but it was no real drama, because it did not appear after rendering
Please don't be too upset, I can really understand your frustration, but I think it's not worth to give too much on anonymous dl-s,
keep up the great work!!
btw. I could check this in FL, but it makes not much sense as you also have FL
I know from experience your an innovative and really nice guy,
so alll u anonoumiouslies, will you please make a

no I don't mean giving praises (thanks anyway) I mean, you guys asked me to fix the click, I did a beta to see if that works for everyone...and all I see is people getting the dll and nothing else.
I'm not upset, and I understand there is so many freeware that you don't have the chance to thanks everyone.
I'm not upset at all

Here is a link to piece of mine with "backman" in action taking a seat on a piano (have to wait a few sec. for it appearing..):

I'm not a big user of Backman but I tried it in minihost and had no problems/clicks at all.

Wow, I didn't know about Backman! This thing's cool
No clicks or pops here, other than the expected tiny clicks (host BPM) when it grabs the sample to reverse at a non-zero cross point (I can't see any way around this without applying a short envelope attack that's triggered by the host BPM, but it's not an issue to me).
That was with a stereo track using an MP3 player in Chainer. I heard no artifacts at all while playing piano sounds or other instruments (VSTi). Much fun when you assign the slider to a knob on your controller.
I also noticed that this has the potential to be an interesting alternative for a traditional delay/echo when the slider's slightly off center. Messed with it for a few minutes on a vocal track and liked what I heard.
Thanks for not giving up on this, Spyro. I would have missed it if you had.
This is a spiffy little plug!
