FLStudio, Orion, and Tracktion are all great suggestions.

But computer nerds don't make hip-hop, gangstas do!

You should spend the 300 dollars on bling, and your recording setup off the back of a truck!

But all seriousness aside, Tracktion is great.

ive tried demos of all and i try to like tracktion but its just hard to use in my opinion i like the one screen only but i cant seem to quantize good in it

definately use FL Studio for hip hop

I've heard somewhere that Reason is becoming very good for hip hop, lotsa people like the ReDrum a lot.

However, FL Studio will perform ALL your needs, for hip hop you can probably buy the Producer without the XXL synths.
