I've been looking at the operations manual and I'm a little confused. All I want to do is run my main lead through a filter and be able to control that filter with a MIDI hardware fader that I have. I can set the fader to send any MIDI value. I just can't figure out what I need to do to get an effect listening to MIDI like that. I can do it fine for instruments, but for this filter I wan to use, I don't know what to do.
Thanks

Hi jimmy,
It depends on the filter you want to use in cubase - either you set the cutoff to be controlled by the midi cc your hw fader sends out and create a midi track with input from the midi interface the fader is connected to and output to the filter you are using (not all effects take midi in, though), or you have to use the automation system, which is a bit fussy to setup (and i'm not sure how the exact process goes). Or you could use EnergyXT as a wrapper.
Cheers, Jo
