I'm looking for a decently recorded set of single-note acoustic guitar picks and a series of strummed chords.

The chords don't have to be all that special, if they were even the stereotypical 'this-sounds-country' chords, all the better!

The reason I ask of that is that while I'm considering buying RealGuitar (or Revitar, if I can find out how to automate the fret hold locations on the strings or at least automate the chord being played) I'm finding that the more I limit my production pallete, the more productive I tend to be and I'm hoping there is simply a soundfont of the standard chord strums so I stop f'cking around with odd chords that don't really make sense. :hihi:

Make sense? Maybe.

It's called "focus" and kudos to you for getting the concept - a lot of artists don't. Michaelangelo used to say that every sculpture he ever made was already there in the marble - all he had to do was chip away everything that didn't belong. A lot of musicians could benefit from that kind of ethos.

There are some allegedly realistic-sounding guitar vsti and loop products out there. If you don't find what you're looking for, I might be willing to record what you want since we know a thing or two about what *real* country music sounds like in Austin. I charge $50 an hour for projects like this and could record you an exact list of the chords you specify along with some matching guitar phrases in an hour or so. At the same rate, I can also provide electric, slide, resonator, bass, mandolin and harmonica parts to match the guitar parts.

Sony Media has some 24 bit acoustic guitar loops and strums. Also, I think Sonic Reality might have some stuff that can help.
