At least that is my impression from the NIs forum. Anyone got any comment on this? Maybe I´ll get a single core cpu for my k2-daw. (I will use Cubase SL3 on it too though.)

What I meant was 1 processor, 2 cores and Kontakt2 using both cores..
I´ll buy a single core processor.

well I think it is just that the cpu load is devided, so that each core gets a bit of it.
and I know the Cubase (maybe only SX) supports it.
The software must be able to support dual/multicore systems.
I dont think that Kontakt is aible to do it.
but when you run it in Cubase, it might be that you take some advantage of it.
Tho I`m not an expert for that.
I think you should ask this question in the hardware, setup ... forum.
or maybe in the NI forum, but it seems you´ve already been there.
