I'm looking for a delay that with very short delay times, to the point of it being sample by sample.
I have Voxengo Sample Delay, but I wan't to use it in a more creative way, eg turn one knob which controls the delay time in samples, and then stop when I think it "sounds right," instead of being forced to tweak by multiples of 10, which isn't great for finding the "perfect" phase between two sounds.
Any suggestions?
phase delay/delay with really short delay time?

Nope. That just phases a copy of the same signal. Thx though. I wanna delay a seperate signal. Protools has something like this built in, I can't seem to find anything else that does it. It's a bit of a shame, since it's a really simple process.
My reason for this is that when layering sounds you can sometimes get vastly different results from only a a few samples of phase difference.
Phase editing of multiple tracks has been pretty routine in recording for a while, since multiple mics on one instrument (eg drums) mixed together will cause phase cancellation. Hence the phase delay to correct it.
So I'm sure this exists somewhere.
