wow, it really sounds like crap.

does anyone else have this problem with avox?

It totally craps up anything i throw at it.

wasnt there a rip off plugin available?

something that does random timing variances and possibly slight pitch variances as well?

I get this feeling that DUOX is changing the pitch even though the slider is all the way down... here is a mp3 of just the doubled voice:

is there pitch shifting still going on?

seems pretty good, midiworks.

heres a link to finished product, so far. Seems usable to me.

so, what is the flow of this...

like, sound goes in, sound gets split, one side gets delayed, with a variation enabled by the random knob, also controlling random pitch shifts?

I think the knobs should be labeled, and maximum control be given.

def better than AVOX though.

hmmm, the knobs ARE labeled, what am I talking about?

maybe the pan ones?

whatever, but I wonder what EXACTLY the randomize knob does. does it randomize pitch change? Or timing... or both? If both, it would be nice to have a knob for each.

also, is there a way to know if the vibrato section is completely turned off?

Jason, really cool sounding. I find vocals amazing !

Post

thanks, thats actually my friend holly (pic below me on left, her on right), we were just messing around with some stuff, to get recorded, we blew this song out really quick, there are some intonation issues but it was only one take so...

But yeah, she lives about an hour or 2 away, so Its not really feasible to get another vocal track right now, so figured I would do a quick and nasty doubling job.

Tried the demo of Avox out and it totally sucked everything up.

So, nice solution.

btw. with the random it should sound like 2 different recorded voices.
Just be carefull with the parameters.
Also "Attack" does a lot.
Go easy with the knobs and listen carefully. ;)
