Hi everyone!

I'm new to soundfonts, so bear with me. I've put together some interesting sounds, problem is I'm working with a single wav file. How do I get this one sample to play true across the keyboard without all the aliasing problems,etc..

I've heard re-sampling might be the answer, but I don't know where to begin. Is there software that can help? Thanx.

You can try AWAVE Studio software by FMJ Soft for creating a soundfont with your single WAV file.

The soundfont player should take care of the aliasing. SFZ does that pretty well.

Most hosts, like Tracktion, FruityLoop, have their own simple sampler that can work very well with only one single WAV file.
My MusicCalc is temporary offline.
We are the KVR collective. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated. :borg:

Thanks Cookie!
I think I did'nt make myself clear though. What I'm referring to is how a single sample will tend to speed up or slow down depending on which keys you press. This of course leads to the sample sounding like it's being played in slow motion or way too fast. I think multi-samples would work well but as I said, I only have one wav at C3 and I need to have this one sample transposed across the keyboard. Any ideas?
thanx again!

Download the Cameleon 5000 demo and resynthesize your sample. Play back a bunch of notes all down the keyboard, record it, slice it, you've got multisamples!

Hey now!
Thanks SFA! Cameleon 5000 it is!

Thought for sure someone would pipe in and say "Oh no, you can't actually USE a demo! They're for purposes of demoing only. If you need what it does you MUST buy it!!!" :D

Hey,
You do what you gotta do, right!
Anyway, I'm really greatful for the advice. It is'nt the perfect solution, but it's a damn good one, plus you've provided me with a very powerful new tool. If I like the 5000 enough I'll buy it, so there...
