I am having great difficulty making the "sync loop" function sync to my hosts tempo- it seems to sync to a tempo of its own. I have tried everything. I am sure I have mis-set a parameter in cubase by accident or something but cannot for the life of me figure it out

sampletank 2 or 2.1? have you logged into the user's area on sampletank.com and filed a tech support request? maybe someone can tell me if there's a way for one to accidentally flip off the midi beat clock pulse to your vstis? that is the default in PT7 which i answered in another thread regarding tempo syncing effects.
oh hey that's another diagnostic for you: do your tempo syncing effects work strangejuice? or is it just the loop sync?

yeh effects work great- I asked a question in tech support and they found my answer- I was importing samples without telling sampletank what BPM they were. Would have been nice if they had of included that bit of advice in the manual.
Is there any way kontakt 2 can do this? Sync loops? If so I'd like to get my hands on that because i dont have to spend ages converting akai cds.

ohh right you werent using loops that come stock with the plug. as far as kontakt is concerned i'm sure it has great loop capabilities but rarely anything in this world is so automatic without nudging markers around sometimes. that was always the advantage to companies making REXes or Acidizing their loops.
