Automatizing the sampling from the synth source??

I need the software to automatize the creation of the sample library (for the live performance, it doesn't need to be studio quality).
I have midi-controlled synth (VSTi or hardware, I suppose, this does not matter??). I need to produce AKAI or SF2 library (the ones I suppose "de facto", they can be converted to any other format rather easily and losslessly) from this synth's output. E.g., the software sends midi messages to the synth and creates some velocity layers, loops and ADSR envelopes from the audio output automatically, for each note (of course, I will tune them later by my own hand, but the main work must be done antomatically, dirty and fast).
Does any product satisfy my needs??..

There's a program called "SampleRobot." IIRC it's made for hardware synths. I don't know if it works with VSTis. But it's worth a shot. :-) Good luck!

Dunno if it handles Akai format but it does SF2.# Fully automatic sampling of MIDI sound devices that are connected to a Windows compatible MIDI and audio interface
# Semi-automatic sampling of sound sources that are not equipped with a MIDI interface
# Fully automated sampling of VST- and DirectX-instruments

or if you just need vsti support (no hardware synths), you can use Chainer. Maybe even the demo works ok for this?
But you'll need to loop by hand... Still, I don't think you'll ever get acceptable quality using auto-loopers anyway. One plus is that Chainer renders audio at faster-than-realtime, so if you have many layers to sample this will speed things up tremendously.
Just thought I'd give you this option since Chainer is MUCH cheaper than Samplerobot.

It seems ESC does this to. Directly in to your favourite sample format.

Great, these ones worth interest.. yes, Chainer is a cutie, but I've never thought on it on my subject.
ESC is good only for editing, not for creating, I've already checked it deeply %((

Did you check out the 3.0 version? I think it was just introduced.Exie wrote:Great, these ones worth interest.. yes, Chainer is a cutie, but I've never thought on it on my subject.

I hope their sample playback vsti doesn't skimp on quality of playback interpolation. It's one thing being able to playback 512 voices, but if they sound bad transposed more than a few notes, it means nothing.
I think all samplers should have an export gigh quality mode for exporting/bouncing/printing whatever you all call it

Ok, thank you, I see the feature "VSTi converter".. unfortunately, they don't have the "Features" menu item on their official site %)E)jupiter8 wrote: Did you check out the 3.0 version? I think it was just introduced.
