Resonance on Electron

Yesterday I played my electron for some hours and was again very impressed by the resonance, well and here is my question:

The resonance is really a bit more strange and "earcracking" then other Plugs - I mean it is totally different. What I really like.

Dave, many developer say that they wanted to build their filter that it should sound like some special old famous analog synth etc. etc.

What did you have in mind when you build your filter ? maybe I am wrong but this "earcracking" rezo was famous especially in FIRSTMAN synths ?

There is really something cool special in your filter, thats why I am also very glad to have your ds sampler which makes my Pianosounds earcrackes for my grandma

The Electron filter, like the oscillators, are loosely modelled on the Juno range of synths from Roland. They have a narrower, "spikier" resonant peak IMHO than other synths. Another quirk is that the resonance tapers off as the cutoff frequency decreases.

What you'll probably also notice is that when you put the twin filters into "link" mode it'll punch holes in walls!

I remember demonstrating Electron when it first came out with the "Arp" patch at a small exhibtion run by Turnkey here in london.....the guy from Sibelius in the next booth was not impressed with the racket, but asked for a demo disk before leaving
