sysex chase in cubase sx1

how to make synths which are compatible with that function chase sysex events? despite the respective filter being off in preferences just like the of controllers, notes etc, sysex is not chased - it works only in regular playback. no midi stuff on the way the moment playback starts, no cc modifiers before which chased could modify the settings.

any ideas?
