Yep. Sure is. About 3 years in the making. It draws from over 100 different sample recording sessions. It is a lot of work but we're getting closer to completing it. It took longer than we thought it would. However, the extra effort and time put into it has made it an even better product! So, it won't be long now!

That realy sounds good.

Am I right, that:
1) studiophonik, will integrate aswell in the ST2.1 as it does Miroslav and SS 2, what means widen the soundpool?
2) Am I right to hesitate with any intrest for Chris Hein Horns, Garritan Jazzband, Lyrical Distortion and likewise Libraries because Studiophonik will do this job as SS does it for vintage Synth-sounds.
3) Will studiophonik profit from new IK feautures like Keyswitch-like sound handling which are introduced with Miroslav first or others from Amplitube 2 or CSR for instance?

So we'll get it this year?

Studiophonik will have an advanced engine more like Miroslav Philharmonik. At some point SampleTank will have an update that will be able to play both Philharmonik and Studiophonik sounds like it can with Sonik Synth 2. Probably by the time Studiophonik even comes out or around that time.

I don't know. Each of the products you mentioned is not directly comparable to Studiophonik. But, if you are looking for the elements of a virtual band for many styles of music that includes a very playable discrete multichannel horn section then Studiophonik will please (keeping in mind the main bulk of material are tons of brands in drums, guitars and bass as the main focus). Some of the libraries you mentioned above focus on horns so surely offer more in that particular category or focus on Jazz instruments and ensembles specifically so the same there. Not sure about Lyrical Distortion. Sounds like a library of Bono vocals from Achtung Baby! ;) Just kidding. Cool name but doesn't tell you at all what it is. Guitars perhaps? Either way, the guitar part of Studiophonik is unique in that it is mainly DIRECT electric guitars that rely on the built-in AmpliTube effects that Studiophonik has. So it is really like a virtual guitar and amp set up.

Sonic Reality programmed Miroslav Philharmonik. It doesn't have keyswitching. It does have control switching capability which is similar though. Anyway, Studiophonik might have a little bit of that. It's main focus will be on well recorded multi-dynamic unprocessed instruments that you can use and enhanced ST effects section to mix endlessly and produce a virtual band of instruments inside the module.

Yes, this year. Before the Summer.

of course just a Bela D Sample-Library of a Custom 22 PRS® electric guitar burned by a Mesa Boogie® Amp.
-Sorry, but I still suffer under my deep penchant for the classical way how Jimi Hendrix used to play national anthems - you know, even if I don't intend to publical smash my PC-equipment, I won't mind if from time to time it could sound like that
So will studiophonik have a playable noise & feedback-fx section/options in any way?

sounds great, and as far as the sonic capsuls cover electric guitars already provide lots of good e-guitar stuff, its quite promissing, to see SR pushing the thing further again.

I can't answer that one at the moment. Sorry. ;)

Wait until you guys hear some of the drums in SPK. WOW! I think we might include a Bill Bruford kit (in case you want to do some Yes/King Crimson-esque drumming). But, when you hear the Bonham-esque Ludwig you will be FLOORED! It sounds really good.

I'm kinda waiting on Studiophonik too. I don't really have a good set of samples (VSampler and Sampletank LE) so STPh could be the all-in-one set of samples I need. Let's see....

Dammit! More money out of my pocket!!! LOL

I can't wait for this one either. At least I feel good about the money I spend with IK and SR unlike a certain other plug-in company I've dropped A LOT of coin on. Man, they WUPed my arse.

How about some demos from this long awaited VI, say a Dan-ish, or something Beatlesque...Ease of use for traditional instrumnets are what we're shooting for here, right? I've bought awful lot of plugs in the years since the initial announcement (music to get done and all, most recently Albino 3).. I'd love to hear something I can't live without...

I assume that you mean some time before the END of the Summer? According to my calendar (and my thermometer)we're already IN summer... :D

So many plugins, so little time...

Not sure when we'll be done actually. It is monsterous but the end result is going to be so darn useful (to me as well). We're getting there! But, not coming out tomorrow.
