I think that some of these ideas may work well with your Tablet 2 Midi program.
I was thinking that you could use the tablet to 'play' the midi keymapper.

No matter what form the midi mapper you suggest might take, you can definately use Tablet2Midi to play it.
I'm not too interested in making tablet2midi a "midi sampler" - it's way too specific. Tablet2Midi is a midi controller.

Your idea is pretty fun though - I wrote some comments in the thread you mention - I'm pretty sure you'd benefit from playing with pure data - much faster to work with than ms paint
