Does anyone know which sound effects are primarily used by those who make the movie trailors with all the huge sweeps and dramatic impulses? I want to use these in songs

Is Hollywood Edge also a website like sound-ideas.com is? or just a sound library?

We are going to release a new library designed for use in trailers and to enhance music production very soon. It's called "Stingers". I personally think that it's what you are looking for
We are going to announce it in our mailing list and at our company forum here when it's online.
Its already finished we are waiting for a demo to present it and it will probably be available next week.

Personally, I get sick of all these loud and annoying wooshing sounds in modern movie trailers. I mean, you're in the theater, you're watching the screen, do they really need to try so hard to capture your attention when you're already a captive audience? The problem is that people almost have no choice but to implement these sorts of techniques if they hope to compete with other trailers and audiences expectations.

Killer library! I wish he didn't make it cause I use it way too much. Here's some of the keys behind it: some of the boomers are made from taking kick drums and lowpass filtering them, then compression. a lot of wooshes are made by reversing cymbals and drums... a whole section of sweeps in the libraries uses a ton of white noise just filter sweeped. Some slams are made by large metal doors. but my favorite sound folder in that library is by far the Flames. they are really great and that's not an easy sound to record!
I recommend buying that library and you'll hear what i'm talking about making some of your own.
