Hello, my Colleagues, especially rbet,

This is a follow-up to the December thread here: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... ruityloops

when IL abruptly jumped the price of FLStudio Producer XXL up to $230. A lot of people here got seriously annoyed by this.

I was meandering around the Academic SuperStore site tonight, looking for some Pro Tools stuff, and came across this: http://www.academicsuperstore.com/quick ... io&x=0&y=0

The XXL version is back down to $139.95, which is $10 more than it used to be.

Even better, if you don't want the extra synths and stuff, the standard Producer edition is now $69.95, which is $10 less than it used to be.

If you qualify and have been putting it off because of that price increase, now's the time, guys. We have no way of knowing how long this price will last.

...So, now, rbet, you can get the kids an un-cracked version to replace their Christmas presents.... (Jeez, don't hit me, man! I'm just kidding! :D )

Take care,

GreyLion

Wow I gotta tag this to pass it on.

Thanks grey for the headsup, I really appreciate this... but alas, the spare cash is gone. I had to eventually buy them an XBox360(+games) after my bro added his own $400-odd). What a waste.

So... FL on the 360? Any c0ders/haxx0rs up to it? Do it gol! ;D

Oh, and the kids refuse to give back their warezed (H2-Doh'ed) Receptors and Viruzes... damn warezmonkeys they are! :D

is the academic version eligible for free lifetime updates like the normal versions???

Post

I believe so, unless they changed their policies very recently. If you get the boxed version, which I believe this is, you have to go to the IL site and give them an extra $30.

If you're paranoid, (paranoia is our Friend), you might want to give AS a call or drop IL a question. But I asked the same question back when I was interested in this package, and was told by a poster here that they'd called and gotten an affirmative. I didn't end up buying, so I don't know for sure....

I'm still thinking about getting the non-XXL version, just 'cause it's soooo cheap.....

Take care,

GreyLion

could someone ask this on looptalk and get back to us?

Post

you need to pay $29 more to be eligible for lifetime updates... it is just like buying a boxed version of FL from some store. :D

Hi,

Two things here.

1. These are academic versions only. Thus only to be sold to students & educational people who can present a proof of this.

2. The pricing used by Academic Superstore are a breach of the Minimum Advertising Price (MAP). I have notified them and asked them to correct this ASAP.
Of course, as long as they indicate it at this price and you qualify for academic versions, you can take advantage of this and buy it cheaper than MAP price while it takes :)

Yes, also Academic versions can order the Life Time Free Update option from our website.

Conditions:
- You must qualify for the academic version in the first place
- Must be able to provide a valid 20-digit academic serial number
- Pay 29$ for it in our webshop :)
(better is if you registered your box first and than buy it from our webshop)

What is the 20 digit academic serial number?? How can I get one??

Will an order receipt from AcademicSuperstore suffice as proof, as they already made me eligible...

MAP - Minimum Advertised Price.

I told ya guyz that academicsuperstore is one cool cat. :hihi:
