in fact I doubt they are alone...but being a footswitch/stompboard I do wonde why there is no standby switch for quick guitar changes without the noise...in fact how is it that this is overlooked? Does it not make complete sense?

Yeah but it doesn't completely mute it, also you might have it set for wah or tweajing a parameter...natqueencole wrote:Doesn't it have a volume pedal?

You can set the bypass volume for the amp simulator to zero. That way if you turn the amp off, the volume is off. That is assuming you use the amp simulator in your patches. Also, you can calibrate the volume pedal if it won't go completely off. I can't remember exactly, the proceedure, but you can find the info at the Line 6 forums. I don't think it's in the manual.

Maybe Line 6 assumes you'll be using a Variax & thus won't need to change guitars!
Great idea about tune mode. I'll be using that from now on, too (since I don't play a Variax).

yup...and the more I think about it, by design it makes sense...take my example of changing guitars...one switch mutes and lets you check the tuning of the new guitar....combinng the two functionx makes perfect sense...which also makes me feel just that much more stupid...selfconstruct wrote:Probably a guitar tuner

by the way the curcuit cables are awesome. I thought the idea was stupid until I tried one. Now it's kinda like getting used to the scroll wheel on a mouse. If you ever find a mouse that doesn't have one it feels all wrong and goofey when you try to scroll through a screen. (I have a tilt wheel now, and it drives me crazy when I can't scroll left/right now too)
