Squids, you mentioned back in November your team was working on the next major update to Sonik Synth 2. Can you give us some more inside information? Inquiring minds want to know!

I'll be watching this ... I'm still using SS1 + ST2XL, haven't (yet) had a reason to upgrade to SS2, but I'll keep my eye on it - I'm sure Squids et al will come up with something to tempt me*.

It would be nice if IK/SR could sort out the few bugs in some of the patches in the existing version. I reported one such to IK back in June and nothing has happened

Any issues with the sounds should be sent on to us at SR. Just email me any reports of findings: dave@sonicreality.com

There is a major update in the works. But, we won't see it until Studiophonik is out first. My guess is Summer. I may have a free set of combis to share with SS2 owners coming sooner though. Atmospheric stuff. Just a little thank you and added value thing we're working on. But, that's just the tip of the iceberg. The next BIG Sonik Synth update will be SWEET!

You know I can't say that until IK announces it.

But, either those or something in the middle. I can at least say it won't be Sonik Synth 4.

Great news Squid, keep us in the loop!

I'm just mixing a new song I wrote with the studio profiles used as the drum track and all other instruments in SS2. Sounds real good playing to a drum track laid down by Danny Gottlieb is inspiring to say the least.
I'll post a link when I'm done tweaking it.
