just picked up the SSL 4000

You only need 1 ilok to try both - personally I think the waves ssl 4000 sounds better than any other compressor I have used but I have not tried the URS. I downloaded the demo but never got around to installing.

There is a thread on the gearslutz forum with audio examples of each.

I've been keeping my eye on the SSL compressor, either that or buy a hardware one, preferably the RNC, people say it sounds incredible.
