Lets say I made a remix using a popular songs acapella as a joke but it actually turned out to be quite good. Nearly proper releasable good. I know the artist is kinda for sampling etc from what I've read but.... am I completely screwed if I wanna release it in any way? How do I go about finding out?
This is the first real remix I have ever done and I haven't released any of my other music yet (very soon hopefully, but not yet). As I said, it started as a joke, needless to say I know nothing about this side of things.
(oh, and I'm a broke musician....)
