There's beeen discussion of this on the Sony forum and some thought that this may just be the result of retail competition, not an indication of the real release date. Much to the Acid fans' ire, there has been NO word from Sony.

Only shipping to the US for now, not Europe yet, and AcidPlanet doesn't have it at all (or I'm getting blind).

The prices at http://www.academicsuperstore.com/ are kind of odd for the academic versions. Pro 5 is $130 and apparently lets you get a free upgrade to 6. The upgrade from 5 to 6 is more, at $140. Full pro 6 is only $180 (great price actually).
