Hi Guys!

I want to say "thank you" for the great Taurus VSTi !!
I did a very close (IMHO) Tom Sawyer sound for the Taurus recently. You can download the preset from my Website

Does anybody know a VSTi version of the famous Oberheim OB-XA (which was used by Rush for the original Tom Sawyer Sound) - maybe a task for Smart Electronix ;-) ?

Perhaps you should try Sonic Project's 'Op-X'. It's a good OB emulation, though quite cpu hungry.

well, i would not say it is too hungry, compared with other vstis, and considering what it does. i guess the built in detuning fucntions for oscis, envelopes, filters etc. demand some cpu power, but the result is worth it.

Agree it's not that hungry, and it's sounds beautiful (and quite authentic, IMHO).

Also, comes with lots of banks. There is one called "famous" that attempts to recreate many specific sounds from recordings....Tom Sawyer is in there, and I would say it is "dead on".
