is SX the only host with 'sizing applies timestretch' ?

hi there!!
I was just wondering if there was another vsti host out there that has this feature that cubase SX has called 'sizing applies timestretch'?
basically I find it great for freely recorded midi (without any metronome or beats) to get the captured loop back into time with the project tempo.
the reason I ask is that I'm find twiddling with the mouse absolutly soul destroying let alone creativity crushing. key commands in cubase can get around this most of the time but just not enough.
so any host advice would be great...
thanks

FL can scale MIDI something like that, don't know if that what you mean ... shift+resize a note selection will resize length as well as time, so you can use that to make a MIDI loop half the length or something.

Assuming you're talking about audio, Ableton Live is just awesome. You can stretch and shrink the whole file or parts of it. Mindblowing stuff.

protools has this , as far as i know... :hihi:

EnergyXT can do it...hold shift and drag the edge of the midi clip to the required length and it will stretch the midi to suit.

Call me silly but isnt Nuendo just like cubase?

Anyways most hosts with a piano roll can do this?

Samplitude has this feature, and so does REAPER.

cool guys!! thanks for the posts :)
yeah I was actually meaning for midi, but the tool in cubase/nuendo works for both audio and midi.
interesting to see what other apps incorporate this
feature, I'm sure logic's got it in some guise or another.
It's interesting to note though, when recording midi this way there's other things to think about too...
sometimes your nice little loop doesn't fall on the first downbeat, so you have to chop and change a little to get the thing back in sync with the host.
hehe, by the end of doing like 50 of these type's of loops I'm like a zombie though.
haha, think I'll go back to just recording straight into the loop ;)

COme on people keep Hosts alive!

well I found out that tracktion has this feature also :)
I think most app's do have it in one form or another, nice feature though I reckon.
basically I think midi and audio files are the 'fodder' for all these apps. so me, I like to create these files in advance so's not to hamper the creative vibe when putting tracks together.
<<<< I hate the mouse, trackballs are sligtly better

don't get me started on trackpads!! or rubber nipples!!!

I first encountered this feature in vegas.

If vegas had proper midi and vsti support I'd already trashed cubase.
