This might seem like a strange request, but is there a VST that can play mp3 files?

I would like to use chainer as a host for Amplitube2 to tweak its settings to match guitar tones in mp3 tracks I have. Currently, I have to drag the mp3 into Sonar and then have my guitar on another track. It would be much easier if was VST was that did this.

I tried using Dsound1's RT player/GT Player Express (since I have an M-audio MobilePre) for a while, but it was just too clunky. So I am back to looking to see if a mp3 player VST exist.
