MIDI editing in ACID Pro 6, tips please

hi all!

I'm discovering more in depth Acid pro 6
liked the new MIDI features in particular :
quick previewing
multi clips on each (folder) track
the inline MIDI editing (f and g shortcut)
etc.

but this morning i came across a strage behaviour:
right click on a MIDI track > clip properties > i got a blank window!!!
it only show the file name and the "save as" button
without the piano roll editor or the list editor

even if i have the manual in my hands
cant solve this issue, there's surely something i missed
maybe it's only a wrong setting, please can you help me out?

I may be misunderstanding, but I think you need to right click on a midi clip (or part) rather than a midi track. If you create even a blank midi clip and right click on it, it displays the piano roll, but not if you right click on the track itself rather than the clip.

I hope that makes sense.

Double click on the file name then you will see the piano roll editor, list editor, etc.

even if i have explained the issue not much well
you have understood exactly what i meant (MIDI clip)

however the problem still there
even if i double click on the file name (do nothing!)
edit:
with the inline MIDI edtiting active,
double click restart the playback from start
if the inline MIDI edtiting is not active,
double click adjust the loop region

it's strange because work well for audio clips

this is what i do:
preview a midi file
import midi file in the main project
draw this midi file into the timeline
now the midi notes appears
if i press G i can do inline midi editing
but can't get the piano roll for a proper editing
and this is drive me crazy!

I've seen this happen, and in my case it was a corrupt installation. I uninstalled, deleted the Acid 6 program installation and setup directories, and reinstalled. It worked fine after that.

ok i will re-install, this is the last chance
i spent almost a day finding a workaround .. nothing!
(time not wasted at all since i learned more about Acid 6 features)

But, do as Nick suggests and also delete the entire ACID Pro 6.0 setup folder, as well. This has to be done manually, before doing the fresh re-install:

C:\Program Files\Sony Setup\ACID Pro 6.0

reinstallation worked and solved that clip properties issue!
