I am looking for a level metering plugin such as Wavelabs level meter(in terms of looks). I have tried the PSP ones but I prefer the "bar" type level meters. I want to use it in Cubase SX3 without having to open Wavelab.
Any suggestions?
Thanx in advance!

Elemental Audio Inspector

btw... a friend of mine told me that Wavelab doesn't shows correctly the RMS level. It's shows 3db more... or less... I don't remember :)

Not really what you are asking for, but for precise metering you might find rms buddy useful as well (if you don't know it already):

I certainly use it way more often than I thought I would.
The mind boggles.

Besides spectrum metering, it features level metering as well. And it's free!! I suggest you check the link I entered above. Good luck !!

Just better, but not free: InspectorXL

AFAIK, this is corrected in Wavelab6.

Another simple one, plus you can record the peak level as an automation curve:
(freeware:)

(non freeware:)

The look is "old school" but it will be soon 100% skinnable.

Wow!Thank you very much guys!!!I'll try some of those!!!

Another vote for SPAM. And if you would like a FANTASTIC 6 part free meter:

It works directly from your soundcard, but it has very few free competitors.

ttoz, i can understand the price of inspector indeed, it's a great all-covering ultra accurate measurment plugin ...
but ppmulator is a levelmeter ... one could build one just like that in synthedit within a relative short period of time ... if it would be a small company, i'd understand .... but mackie?? come on ...
not that i want to chop up a war here, like i said, normally i don't complain about prices, i really know how hard dev's work for exellent plugins, and they earn every cent if you ask me, but there's a borderline, imo ...
other dev's give away such for free cause it doesn't take too much work to do a levelmeter, and it shows the loyalty and their respect to the customer ...
it's things like this bring up threads like "all software should be free" ...
