didnt get much response to this topic.

was hoping to get some feedback from other user's experience (maybe it's my system, soundcard, drivers etc or maybe it *is* just a problem with the software)

basically its about auto-previewing combinators when Reason is rewired to Cubase. seems to cause major cpu spikes/audio drops. (because Cubase is trying to keep the list of devices updated dynamically)

thanks for any info

I understand that this is undesirable, but to be honest, if it didn't do something like that I'd be surprised. You're basically comparing the performance of Reason alone vs Reason together with the most system resource hungry sequencer of them all and wondering why you get audio glitches. Do you really expect that there will be no hit on performance as the combinator does it's thing during playback in Cubase? Reason is the world's most efficient soft studio. It's known for this very thing and Reason 3 is touted as some kind of live performance "instrument". No wonder it can do many things without glitches in the audio stream. Cubase makes no such boasts. As soon as you rewire Reason to Cubase, you're playing by Cubase's rules.

Tee, you're exaggerating it. I get at most 2-4 second dropouts when loading the biggest combinators. But usually it's only half a second dropout.
