www.argitoth.com/files/delayeffect.mp3 Excuse my crappy playing skills. I have to use my mouse to switch BMPs. (Beats per minute)
You will hear first a strange feedback thingie which isn't important. Then you will her a few clicks with a cheesy beat. This is the dry sample. Then you will hear FilterBank2 using Resonant delay and a little bit of amp distortion to add color. I switch between various delay BPMs to change the pitch. Cool, huh? I use just C2 and C3, C2 being a duller click, C3 being a sharper click.
Anyway, is there anything out there that can recreate the delay effect? I can't use Filterbank because it is limited to specific BPMs and I would not be able to make it produce any note I want. Man, if I had Reaktor I bet it would be so easy to make a synth where the delay frequency is based on the midi note you play. Yeah, imagine making an entire synth out of this concent. I know this type of effect is used in synths, but I don't think there's a synth out there that can sound like the sample provided. It reminds me of Slayer though.

I think there are a good few effects based on MIDI playable comb filters. The old RezSynth by DFX at smartelectronix is the only one I can think of offhand, but there are definitely more out there.
edit: Seems RezSynth is based on Bandpass filters. Damn! I know this exists though...

You can achieve what *I think* you're after (and much more...) using ohmforce's "Ohmygod" or Prodyon's ironizer

...
(I take back what I said if you were there to catch it)
Thanks for your helps. I think the only way to achieve this effect truely is to find a good delay and automate it so it plays the pitch you want. Ironizer is limited in that it only has 49 playable delay lines and you can't modulate the delay.

I was messing with Absynth and the comb filter and I realized that the effect I am looking for is a midi-controlled comb-filter. Simply by changing a comb filter's hertz to the right note (am I using the correct terminology?) with high feedback will get this result. For example, if you send clicks through a comb filter at 440hz it will create the key of A. If you slowly change the hz to 880, it will create a legato and create a high A.
So does anyone know a comb filter effect with midi note control with legato? That would be FRIKKIN awesome.

I've got Oli's endless stuff and it's amazing (endless flanger =
) ...maybe polycomb or dronebox will do for your need?
...well, looks like sickle was sending while I was typing...

dooooood, http://www.oli.adbe.org/bundle.htm
i gotta get that bundle. It would be cool to have a doppler effect and that comb filter is exactly what I want.

Naaaaa, polycomb and chordbox are so much awesome-er! I'm going to pay for Oli Larkin's bundle.

Yep, I'd highly recommend Dronebox and Polycomb - they're just what you're looking for! That bundle is great value
