I assume a plug which has a virtual pitch bend wheel for generating PB messages?

i can't turn off key quantize. i'm using t1. why even have the quantize thing? i'd like a bend range

the pitch bend takes the place of a midi controller. the pitch is bent in the synth

I think what you want is a virtual midi controller. Something like these should do the trick:
http://www.analogx.com/contents/downloa ... usemod.htm
http://www.analogx.com/contents/downloa ... vpiano.htm
http://www.soundcosoftware.com/vmc.htm
http://www.csounds.com/maldonado/vmci.html
Or, like I said, depending on your host, their might already be something like this built in. I'm pretty sure Logic has a little doohicky that would do this.

nope. i just need a vst pitch bend like if the quantize off button worked on soma's note fx and it had a range

Yeah, what's wrong with recording movement of the pitch wheel of your controller? Even in T1 this should work fine, you should be able to edit the automation curve...aetmos wrote:I dunno, though, I just use the pitch bend on my controller...
If you don't have a controller with pitch bend wheel, there are ways to work around that (e.g. virtual XY-controllers)

1) None of the XY-controllers I've come across have pitch bend as a generated parameter.C00kie wrote:If you don't have a controller with pitch bend wheel, there are ways to work around that (e.g. virtual XY-controllers)
2) A pitch bend wheel should have a snap-release back to zero.
3) I think I've seen VST plugins which will convert a CC signal to pitch-bend, but by midi definition, pitch bend resolution is 14-bit, while CC messages are only 7-bit.
(Having said this, I now see that the PB in soma's noteFX is 7-bit).
Doesn't the note quantize just affect note on/off messages? If all you need is the pitch bend, bypass noteFX with your midi in from your controller and use noteFX only for generating pitch bend (no midi input to noteFX).androidlove wrote:i can't turn off key quantize. i'm using t1. why even have the quantize thing? i'd like a bend range
Pitch bend range by midi definition is 0 - 16383 (min/max). How this translates into number of half-steps bent is always set in the receiving synthesizer.
The only shortcoming of soma's noteFX that I see is that the resolution is 7-bit, not 14-bit. I would also like to see the wheel in the gui to be a little larger for increased controllability with the mouse.
