-- standard description --
DtBlkFx is a Fast-Fourier-Transform (FFT) spectral processing machine that gives you enormous audio control.
It features:
Precision parametric equalizing with sharp-roll off
* Set the frequencies so accurately that you can adjust individual harmonics of a sound
* Frequency resolutions of up to 0.7 Hz
Harmonic based (or comb) filtering
* Set a fundamental frequency and adjust the level of it and its harmonics - you can even remove the pitched component of a voice
* Active harmonic tracking - let DtBlkFx automatically track a sound and adjust the level of it's harmonics
Various types of noise control
* Change the "contrast" between loud and soft frequency components
* Adjust only those frequencies below or above a particular threshold
* Clip frequencies above a particular threshold
* Sound smearing (phase randomizing)
Frequency shifting
* Harmonic shifting by a fixed number of notes
* Non-harmonic shifting by a fixed frequency
* Active harmonic repitch - the content of your sound is monitored and repitched to a destination note (which is quite fun to try on voice)
Vocoding
* Standard (frequency enveloping) - make your trumpet rap, string section sing or synthesizer talk
* Harmonic based - harmonics in one channel are power-matched to those in the other (or some predefined waveforms) for a new vocoding sound
Frequency masking
* A harmonic or threshold mask may be set for any effect (apart from vocoding) - for example only shift frequencies that are below the threshold
Realtime spectrogram (waterfall) display of input and output sounds
* See what frequency components are in your sound and exactly what you've done
* Use your mouse to see the note & frequency under the pointer
You can select up to 4 of the above effects to be run in series! Combining the effects in this way allows you to make completely new and surprising sounds.

Hi Blaster, have you looked in the user guide? I spent a long time making diagrams for each effect!

superb plug though, just tweaking the presets give you a bunch of lovely harminics and stuff that sound
incidently, i have a book out the library at the moment on fast fourier transforms so i will get more indepth....
i love kvr for this sort of thing....

Whoa!
Keep this thread alive until tonight so I don't forget to download this one at home! (I just sent myself an email as well).
Looks like something I've been missing!

You know that I love this effect
but I have my first problem:
The new version has a minimum delay of 1/4 of a beat
whereas you could get tiny delays on the original.
I'm using th old version live, trying to make presets that work
well live and the new, admittedly insanely beautiful, version won't work for
that.
Although for use in my sequencer it's a dream.
Any chance of getting a tiny-delay option in there somewhere for the next version?
I'll drop some demo sounds and presets here sometime.

Ok, I'm a friggin' moron:
I was so excited playing with the new version (and not just today!)
that I didn't notice that if you scroll down a bit further that there's the
old ms settings! Lol now I am going to have a nice time playing live
tonight - expecially testing out voice-triggered, midi-tweaked fx chains.
Thanks for suggestion, darrell.barrell, and thanks for this plug-in!!!
I have fun letting audio-friends peruse the manual.

Although I don't use it this way, it's also a powerful analysis
and surgical mastering tool based on some parts of the beginning
of the manual. I imagine it'd make a really interesting exciter, also.
