Hi there! This one's easy:
I was searching though the forums for tips on acoustic and/or upright bass samples and I read in a January thread that you were actually preparing a library similar to UBK but with an upright :?:

Just wanted to know if there's any news on this... is the project still under development? Any idea about aprox. release dates? Any details or demos maybe? :D

Cheers!

Hi Juanjo
It is still in final stages of Dev here. The Soundsets are almost ready and i think Greg has a couple Demo Mp3s of it.

I will see if he can post them here.
I may have to get them from him and upload to our server so hang in there.

No release date is set yet, but at the same time we are also working on a new Ovation Acoustic Electric Bass set and a New EBass set.

I expect release of some, if not all of this within a few weeks or so though.

We'll post back here once we get some MP3s up.

Hi Juanjo

I recently posted a demo of the Upright in another thread and will post it here too.
This also has a new Harmonica in it and the ManyTone Acoustic Drums. The Bass though is the Upright set we are going to release within the month or so.
Listen to it here:

It is a pretty cool set so far, more details soon but here is a listen as you asked about it.

Best Regards

Thanks Paul, tasty sound! Assuming that the set is going to be relatively extensive and have different tones and playing styles (like UBK), I'm sure you have a real winner with almost no competition here (like UBK :D ).
Looking forward to more info and demos whenever they are available.

Cheers,
JJ.

Still no progress on this ? I use the UBK (soundfont version), which is an excellent soundset at a bargain price. I've been looking forward to the release of the upright bass equivalent since it was announced back in April (with demo mp3 in June).

What's the latest bulletin ?

I think it's pretty close to completion. I've already got some ManyStation presets for it, and have been using it in my own compositions.

Hi
Yes it will be released very soon now. We had a few other things we got accomplished though in this time... Mainly a whack of Free Stuff in The FreeZone and the New Sitar. We wanted to get our customers some Bonus stuff first.

We also have a 2 other Bass libraries besides this one that are being worked on at the same time.

Talk Soon.

I just received the final soundsets from Greg to go over and then i have to get the rest of the bits ready for release. (Website, purchase links etc) I expect within a week or so now if things go well. But bear with us if it is longer so we get it all done proper on first release.
It does sound pretty cool.
I think Greg may have some Demo tracks ready also pretty quick.

Cheers

Hey all
I just uploaded a new demo mp3 played and sequenced on a keyboard by Gregjazz. This shows off some of the little bits that make it realistic.

http://www.manytone.com/music/manytone_ ... _demo1.mp3

Remember that this is only 1 style of sound you can get with this set as the set includes a direct injected and a miced version and you can also blend them. (In ManyStation)
We will have more tracks soon to show some other sounds off from the set.

A bit more news also...
The Bass is 2 - 70 meg 24 bit Multisampled Soundsets - a DI set and a Miced set. All of the sounds (Notes Mutes Slides - FX etc.) are built into each set so sequencing them is easily done in one interface.
We are releasing in WusikStation, ManyStation, ManyGuitar and Soundfont versions to start. Price will be under $20.00 during the brief intro special, for you guys paying attention. (To be announced) :-)

Release date ... As soon as we finish the last little bits (Website etc) which will hopefully go smooth. Stay Tuned
Paul

Sounds bloody great!

Only problem for me is that I don't own a sampler, and hate using them for some reason - let me know if you guys ever do the VST version!
