How do I split so can have for example a bass vast on the low register on my piano and something else on the high register? Is it possible?

think he's talking about his keyboard, and wanting just a regular split.

...which is easy.

create two midi channels. set their midi output to the two sounds you want to play. Go to 'track parameters' of each midi track and set range -> 'note filter' to your desires.

Both channels should have the opposite ranges obviously.

Then just rec enable both channels, and you're go!

Also if you wish the two tracks to only record the the lower and higher notes, then use the input transformer with note filters set up, and that will give the same effect as above, but only the required notes will be recorded on each track.

This works just as well with 'note filter' on 'track settings'. No need for external midi plugs.

If are referring to the Track Paramaters, then these are playback only, and do not affect the actual recorded material. They work live, but on the playback side.

I just tested it again here, and the filter lets through the filtered notes on record, but does not play them back.

The only way I am aware of to filter the notes BEFORE they get recorded is with the input transformer, which BTW is not an external plug.

whoops a slight misunderstanding. yes the notes indeed get recorded, but that's hardly a problem since the playback filter settings stay on and you never hear the filtered notes nevertheless.

Great for non-destructive editing as well.

I might be a problem if using score for the two parts, and notes are displayed that are not actually played for a given part. That is why I gave the other option (plus that is my preferred method).

Might be a bit faster to set up as well, since one can save midi plugin presets and recall the usual splits fast (instead of monkeying around with track setting sliders).
