Does anyone know which reverb Vangelis uses in his records? It always sounds so massive. Lexicon maybe? Which plugins come close to the "Vangelis Effect"?

The massive sound mostly comes from the orchestration, not only the reverb unit. Could very well be Lexicon by the way (but not of their cheap line)

I remember there being an interview with an engineer who worked with Vangelis posted on the web some time ago -- I believe he said that Vangelis made significant use of plate reverbs...

Lexicon, the 224 most of the time. Check the "CSR pants down" thread here at kvr for some very convincing huge Vangelis like halls made with the Artsacoustics reverb!
