It is no problem to use reason sample with sonar, however, I cannot send the midi data from Dr.rex/Redrum to sonar
How to use these 2 program??
Thanks a lot for you guys help.
From Cubase and Sonar and other rewire hosts, you can select one or more of Reason's instruments, and record it's midi data directly into the hosts piano roll. I don't know why you'd have to export midi then import it into Cubase or Sonar since you can record it directly there in the first place. I've done in in Sonar years ago, and I'm doing it in Cubase now. It's really easy. Just create a midi track in Cubase and choose/assign one of Reason's instruments to that track. Now you can "play" that instrument directly from Cubase. Press record and you will record the midi data into the piano roll. Edit that data the same as you would a VST instrument in Reason. It's very easy. I believe from memory that it's nearly as easy in Sonar too.Bassballjg wrote:Reason cannot transmit MIDI. You will need to export the MIDI file once you have sent it to track; see under the Files menu. Then import the MIDI file to your host sequencer.
REX files can be loaded into Cubase. However if the REX file is in a ReFill, you're stuck with playing it using Reason - unless someone has written a ReFill unpacker?Bassballjg wrote:rex files may be loaded directly into a track in Cubase
