CUBASE SX3 - Chopping/slicing audio

OK this maybe outside of the capabilities of Cubase but I'll give it a shot anyway...

I have been expermienting with chopping up audio lately, and have found the Audio Event editor really useful for copying and dragging around parts of my loops to reorder them, stretching bits and pieces etc. i.e. on a drum loop to create glitchy effects/stutters etc.

Now what I really want to do is create some kind of map or template that will chop/manipulate another Audio loop in EXACTLY the same way as the drum loop, say for a bass track or a vocal track. So this track will now be chopped in the same way. Obviously I could just try and slice it manually in the same place and reorder but if I am doing a different variation for every bar of my song which has 8 or so tracks this will get very dull, very quickly.

Why, you may ask? Why not just render one loop of all tracks and then chop/slice that. Well once that's done I guess I can't change the audio within it e.g. if I wanted to eq one of the parts or mute one of them I can no longer do this as they are all in one rendered .wav file.

I though about maybe using the 'Play Order Track' to reorder things. Has anyone used it for this kind of operation.

Or maybe someone could suggest another way of audio editing on this scale which can be done over multiple audio tracks, and implemented on one or all of them as I choose. I thin kwhat I'm trying to do is retain some control over the orginal data, a non-destructve method of editing.

Any sense made out of all of that lot would be greatly appreciated.

cheers
