Hi

Just found out about them. Are the 3 DVDs (Lounge, NuJazz...) packed with former E-Lab content (xTC...) or are these brand new samples?

Brand new samples. And very good if you asked me. I have the Jazz Breakbeat.

Actually, there seems to be quite a bit of overlap with the Obsession and Foundation VSTi:s from E-Lab. I bought both of them when www.bigfishaudio.com were blowing them out and listening to the demos it seems that Breakbeat Jazz is pretty much identical to Foundation.

The Equipped libraries are more flexible as the samples can be imported into e.g. Stylus RMX, while the VSTi:s come with encrypted samples that can only be used with the E-Lab player.

...does the series come with a printed manual? I got a used Nu Jazz Funk quite cheap from Ebay. The seller told me that he'd also bought it used for 'test purposes' when I've asked after a manual. I like the sound very much, but the folder structure is a bit confusing...

sample cds are not resellable (in most cases), the test purpose was to copy and leech probably

...yeah, but I didn't mind, since it was (luckily) an original disc (not naturally on Ebay, as it seems), which I got for a good price and I was planning to buy it anyway - I think the whole series is must-buy for these genres. But the folder structure keeps me a bit mad sometimes, as some loops are mixed together and it's a bit hard to find the respective single loops. Up to now I didn't have the heart to ask Equipped about it for understandable reasons. But I guess, there isn't any manual since there isn't even one as a pdf on the disc (and the last E-Lab releases were also poorly documented) - can anyone confirm that?
